Congratulations on your call to serve! Included in this email is Elder Smith’s itinerary to the mission field, if you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

 

Coronavirus Guidelines:

 

When departing or returning home – regardless of location – we ask missionaries and their families to strictly follow established guidelines to prevent the spread of illness while at the airport or on an airplane. Families should limit the number of people picking up, dropping off, or accompanying a missionary based on local airport regulations.

 

Whenever missionaries are inside the airport or an airplane, they should wear a mask, avoid congregating in groups, not shake hands or hug, and obey all social distancing measures. Above all, missionaries and their families should promptly follow all instructions from airport officials or volunteers. We appreciate the cooperation of missionaries and their families as we all work to follow these important safety guidelines.

 

Baggage Guidelines:

 

Each Missionary is allowed to bring two 50lb checked bags to and from their mission. The itinerary shows how many bags are included in the cost of the ticket. If 2 bags aren't included in the itinerary below they will need to be paid for at the time of check in. For travel to the mission, please be prepared to pay for your bags when you check in. For reimbursement, please save your receipts and turn them into your mission office upon arrival. For travel home, the Mission Office will provide funds to pay for your bags. Overweight fees above the 50lb for each bag will not be covered/reimbursed.

 

 

NOTE: Airlines are now requiring all passengers to wear face masks in flight.

You will need to obtain your own face mask before airport arrival.

Week 34- Tut Tut, Looks like Rain

  Hello Everybody, Short Version: The fall rainy season is starting. Sometimes there is a continual rain that goes all day and makes me feel like a vegetable in the produce aisle that gets that slight, yet continual shower of mist. Week 92 - "Caged Bird" (ft. Maya Angelou)

Hello Everyone! I'm super stoked!!! I'm going to Kaunas which means I'm leaving the office and heading back to Lithuania. A weird thing about being in the office is that I've been able to see the transfer board which shows where all the missionaries are going on future transfers. So I've actually known for a month or two that I've been going back but haven't been able to to tell anyone about it. It's going to be so nice to use Lithuanian again. I feel like I'm ready. I hope it's not too rusty but I'm sure it will bounce back really quickly.  The last couple of days, Elder Sieverts has been in Riga. He's going home tomorrow so Rest in Peace. Elder Yeyna too, and a few others missionary friends. Being with Elder Sieverts has been a blast. This last Sunday I bore my testimony in Russian. Week 11- The Three Great Commandments

  Hello Everybody!      Week one in the field has been amazing. I'm serving in Indiana currently, Elder Jones and Tapp are showing me the ropes. We've been teaching like crazy it seems like.       There have been so many people on Facebook or over the phone or in person that we want to contact. We don't have enough time to reach all the people we want to. That is a very good problem for us to have.       We had a baptism with Mia which was great! Hooray for baptisms. We have another baptism with Abbey coming up this Saturday. Our zone will have had 1 baptism each week for the month of March.      The diversity here compared to Tri Cities is so drastic. A lot of times, me and my companions are the only white people around. Our area covers a wide variety of people ranging from people living in small run down homes with little to nothing, to families in Gigantic houses that seem like Castles almost. Seeing everyone'...
